Journey of the Sun
Inspired by diagrams that trace the sun from a fixed position on Earth throughout a year, referred to as analemma, as well as the spectral wavelengths of light, Journey of the Sun consists of 85 convex translucent color coated glass discs suspended and arranged in the shape of a slender figure eight curve. The sculpture seemingly floats underneath a ceiling plinth and is accompanied by a video piece, both echoing the spectral hues and energy of the daily spectacle of light on earth.
